A picture taken last year same time, to wish you a great August and apologise for not being there often these days (weeks!). Have been working like crazy and am now away for a week with my sweet little family and friends. A week away from work and the internet! I hope I'll have pictures to show you when I'm back. So we visited 5 flats in Paris on Wednesday, some very, very beautiful, but none of them felt right to us. That was an exhausting day! Next to that J needs some confirmation regarding work before going further with our flat hunt and we feel like all we can do is wait, which is hard.

On Saturday, my best friend got married with a very lovely guy, even lovelier when you know his last name is Dieu -God! I'm very, very happy for them, and for myself to know them, too :)

These are some details of the simple and joyful coloured feast they had prepared for us. LM played around all week-end and impressed everyone one with how independant and quiet she was -if only she could be like that a bit more at home! Or maybe we need a large home always filled with people hanging around? Anyway, we had a good time.

The flat we were hoping for was finally given to the landlord's daughter, which didn't upset me at the beginning. Then I got very angry last Friday as I really need to move and felt like I was stuck here. But we are going back to Paris tonight and have planned to visit 4 new flats! Cross your fingers for us!

Despite what you can see, we had the biggest trouble enjoying our walk in a lovely park there, as LM kept grumbling and crying all along. I'm working like mad now until the end of the month, the only break I'll have will be weddings! Have to decide on some clothes to wear on.

Paris in one post

We left Fiday morning for Paris where we visited a flat: we had seen a few others on the web, but they were either already rented, or the estate agency renting it asked that you earn 4 times the amount of the rent (it's getting so ridiculous). So we only visited one... but it's the one! It's so beautiful and perfectly situated and quiet and -oh we just need it. Everything is just fine about it, except that the morning we visited it, the landlord's daughter told them she might want the flat! Argh! They gave her a week to make her decision so we are holding on until next week... We already see ourselves there, and have no other plan, so we really hope it's working.

We went to see Meek’s Cutoff on Friday evening, I loved it, dived into the amazing desertic landscapes and got thirsty like the characters looking for water. Then on Saturday, went around shopping. Loved BHV's green wall, found a lovely, lovely felt shop (Muskhane) and got this soft ball, went in another shop for some neon coral washi tape and found some amazing wooden dolls by Alexander Girard, fell in love with the feathered-head one. J was discreetly wearing flowers inside is shirt. We ate twice at Loving Hut, a sweet vegan place making delicious food. Now back to my parents' house, where LM stayed while we were out and about.
