I have just realised the tree outside our office is in full spring mode. How long as it been like this without me seeing it?
On Friday, we get a car. We have never ever owned a car before. We used our parents' cars, from time to time, but usually use bus/tram/metro wherever available, bicycle/feet otherwise. It has been ok but we sometimes missed having a car when we were in need of bringing/removing something big from the house. And also, to go to the sea when we feel like it. So we are buying our friend's old car, and J is coming back from London/Paris with it. We are not happy as we would like to be able to live without a car. We are happy as it will allow a bit more freedom in our everyday life. Let us see the good side of it :)
Have a wonderful week!

*shop + blog update*

So, I have just updated the shop with original watercolours I made in February (see here and here).
Some of them (in the 2 last pictures) are made with cotton paper handmade in the south of France which looks and feel so good! I ordered a lot of it to make sure I have some to hand when I want to paint again :)
And also, I have slightly changed the shop's and this blog's appearance, so that these + my new portfolio are consistent.
Now I hope you have a lovely week-end!

paint + colours

Today was the first of a series of creative workshops I'm running now. We worked for 2 hours (which is ridiculously short!) on colours, with a few instructions to help us connect with our creativity. That was fun! At the end we all took an artist's quote from a bowl, and they all matched well with the person who picked. I wish I could work like that at least twice a week!
organisation

I managed to make this last week from some lovely japanese fabric that I have had for months (years?). 3 pockets for A4 sized papers, 1 pocket for long envelopes. I am very happy about the way it turned out, I now need to make the best use of it.

on LM's tracks

She is not the most discreet little person, however I like the little surprises she leaves behind her.

10 days on my own

Looking at today's pictures while drinking a fruity green tea. Today J left to London for the final part of his PhD -his viva. He should be done with student life in a few days now, I hope for the best.
I am staying here with LM for 10 days, feeling lonely and free all at once. Tonight we walked in the sun and listened to birds in the woods, it was good.
a very short life dress

I loved this green dress, alas it tore appart after half a day, the hem was not strong enough. Well, at least I have a photo :)

mellow yellow

I recently made this pillow cover. I like a little yellow, now that the sun shines outside.

save the date! (2)

I have just received this book by Vitcionary and am very pleased. They contacted me back in July and asked if they could feature some of my work. I said yes :)
dresses

Maybe writing about it made me find some kind of energy to go on with my little clothing projects? Anyway here you go, 2 little dresses I made for LM. The first one is made in a Dior or Chanel fabric (can't remember), I got it because it was the only emerald green I could find! Some colours are everywhere, some aren't. There's another dress, a kind of funky djellaba, but she's wearing it right now so I'll show you later. I made a simple pair of harem pants too. Hah! Let's go on with sewing while the feeling is here.
