Yesterday I ran a 2-hour workshop on 'shapes and patterns', and offered the participants to print small pieces of a cotton/linen blend fabric.
I used Lena Corwin's book Printing by Hand for the first time, eventhough I got it a long time ago. This book is just great: beautiful, practical and makes things possible. I couldn't find everything she recommends to use to make those Furoshiki (printed pieces of fabric to wrap your presents) but we had great results with other materials and I can't wait to get more fabric, more colours and try again. We were all very happy!

ReplyDeleteI really like your blog!!
Very nice! What kind of paint do you use?
ReplyDeleteAnna > I use a French paint for textile called Pebeo. Once it's dry, you have to iron it a little, and then your textile can be washed in the machine at 40°C.
