Saturday

Saturday was a lovely day. LM and I took the bicycle and went to see my mother who was helping preparing a small concert. We met her friends and in the evening we came back for the concert: 2 French and 2 Argentinean playing argentine and brazilian music (some folklore with their personal touch and some of their own composition).

I wasn't expecting anything and what happened was just amazing. It started quite softly but then the more they played the more I liked it, I just wanted to dance all night in the end. We were 60 or so, packed in a large living-room, the atmosphere was cosy and very friendly, we all had fun. These musicians are so talented! After the concert we all had some soup + the food everyone brought, then they had a jam session where we even sang all together, then they stopped, my mother and I left, and I heard they had another jam session until 4am. What a night! One of the Argentinean felt like a brother to me, it was a very strange feeling. Maybe we were siblings in another life?

Have a great week, friends!

  1. Hola! I was going through your amazing blog and came across this post. I'm Argentinian and it was nice to read this! I'm planning a road trip with my bf through the centre of France. Where were your pics taken from? I'd love to know. Leti :)

  2. Leti > Hello! All the pictures I take are from either my parents'house/garden (most of them are from there) or from our place or the surroundings. The ones in this post specifically are from my parents'house. It is located near Nantes, 30 minutes driving South from there, in the country. Hope this helps :)
