tired

Oh, she is not the tired one. Now that the days end early, she needs more sleep. She follows the sun's rythm it seems. We have long evenings on our own, which we got easily used to.

I am the tired one. A few weeks ago I started feeling the urge to make a lot of things, and it hasn't stopped since. I need to paint, draw, make things on the web, organise what I have already made into new things... I have new ideas almost everyday, I'm just restless. Completely over-excited, happy and tired. J was writing up his thesis late in the evening, so I stayed up late too, and worked... I love working at night with a bit of music, it gives me an amazing feeling. Now, J is done with the writing up (youhou! bravo Jérémie !) and is leaving for a few days, to the beach, to just empty his mind and fill himself up with energy and fresh air. I would like to take this opportunity to organise myself differently and make some time to relax and... sleep.

So how is your Friday? Mine is relaxed I must say. But very exciting at the same time, because I'm preparing a little advent calendar for you! I will start a little series on Wednesday next week, that will last until 24th December. If you are curious, come back on Wednesday :)

This is a cat I purchased from the lovely Anaïs -merci merci, Anaïs ! She recently started painting a cat a day. I love its misty look and its blue colour, it's like a cat you would meet in your dreams. I'm wondering where it's heading to, any idea?

Flora

Today's my fête -we celebrate Flora on 24th November. I have never met any other Flora in my real life, in my mind this name is mine only. My mother likes flowers and loves gardening, this is why my parents gave me this name. Where does your first name come from?

It's ready! I have been working on it all day and hardly had a break. I am very excited about this little calendar #2, I hope you will be too!

I am now going to stop working, make some tea and have a piece of chocolate :)

Wise words

I have recently come accross a Ghandi quote which I like a lot: 'be the change you want to see in the world'. I have known it for several years but these days it seems to match every situation in my life. I am sometimes angry at objects or machines around the house because they won't function, as if they were too rigid or simply do not want me to use them. But I know everything would be completely different if I took the time to do things properly and think of what I am doing only.

Ghandi's words often resonate in my head. They really speak to me as they are very general and can apply to anything, but also because they give a strong sense of responsibility, which I think we often lack. I deeply think we have to deal with ourselves in the first place, people and situations being only reflections of what is actually happening inside of us. And, feeling responsible for what is happening in my life makes me so optimistic, everything is possible!

This way of thinking led me to where I am now, and even if I have some efforts to do to simplify my life and appreciate every moment of it, I am very happy.

Monday monday

I love Monday after a work week-end. I ran a workshop with lovely people and felt totally uplifted afterwards, as always. I feel deeply grateful to be able to earn a living with such an enjoyable activity. I am grateful.

crochet madness

I have just finished this little scarf for LM. I had made another one previously but the result was quite disappointing, as my technique was bad. I am pretty happy to see I am now getting somewhere. I am learning on my own and have just discovered the actual normal crochet stitch -ha, it's about time.

I have started a scarf for myself, in this raspberry colour, and have been working on it so much yesterday evening my hand hurt. I hope it will look as good as I can picture it mentally.

I think I could be out all day taking pictures, if my body had a better temperature regulation system. These were taken yesterday. While uploading them on the computer, the light was already different and the sky was a bit bluer, and I just thought 'I should go out again and take some more!' but didn't, as I had other things to do.

LM and I are at my parents' house to allow J some time to work, again. Good excuse to come here :)
Every time of year is nice here, even in winter when my body is often too cold to function properly.
