gifts to myself

These are 2 books I got for myself because they're beautiful.

Petites histoires pour les enfants qui s'endorment très vite is a book illustrated by Thomas Baas, Sissi's friend. On each page of the book there is a very short story (one or two sentences) and a beautiful picture. So sweet...

Bearly warm is a lovely little story written and drawn by Rob Hunter, a great illustrator as well. It's a limited edition of 500 books, so hurry if you want yours.

I hope you are enjoying this special time of year. Have a great evening!

This winter delicacy to wish you a lovely and peaceful Christmas, whatever your plans are. I will be busy with all the family and am back home on Saturday. Have a nice holiday now!

winter solstice

Today has been a perfect Christmas holiday day. I am in Nancy (East of France) now where I am spending the coming week with my man's family. The two of us wandered in the city and stopped in the most famous Art Nouveau café in town: such a beautiful place... We had a delicious break there (as you can see -crème brûlée!). We shopped a bit then and I played with light.

From now on (for us in the northern hemisphere) we are getting a little bit more light everyday! I am very happy about it, darkness is a state in which I lose all my energy. I hope you are all well wherever you are.

last calendars available

I have just prepared the last calendars available in the shop. There are only 4 left and there won't be any update on them, so hurry up if you want yours! I am leaving tomorrow but will ship then as soon as I get an order, so no worries.

I have many things to do now and so little time! But I can't wait to be in Paris tomorrow with dear friends (no post then I guess). Have a lovely evening/night everyone, and thank you for your (secret) support, I appreciate!

Magic

This afternoon I was looking for a coat and was so bored with the lack of variety (and so impatient to get a nice coat) that I bought some red wool fabric and ribbon and made one myself tonight! The red is very different from the one you can see. The shape is very simple and I'm quite happy with the result. I did it very randomly, without any pattern. Now it looks a bit like a Mary Poppins coat and a bit like a dressing gown, quite funny. I will show you when the light comes back.

I hope all is well for everyone, have a good night!

details

I have just received my little Moo cards! I am very happy and will be even more happy to enclose them in each package I will send from January.

I hope your day has been good. I have laughed a lot in front of this picture by Brigette B. I also like this one. Have a nice evening now!

dunes

These dunes pictures I took during our honeymoon (see previous posts here, here and here) will soon be printed and published by a friend as a small edition. I will tell you more about this when it comes out! I'm very happy about it.

Today has been my week-end as I have been working all Saturday and Sunday long. I only have a few days now to finish tidying the flat and think of Christmas presents, then I will leave for Nancy. I feel like I am running after time!

I wish you all a soft and lovely week, full of peace. Have a good night !

tasting

Today I went to the Christmas market in the centre. A local couple sells little pots full of wonders. I got a few different ones to taste, and did it right away!

Have you seen this? Click on Uudemmat tekstit to see the next ones. I found it via Emma's lovely blog.

I have now many things to do before the week-end starts. I wish you have a nice one.

Winter collection

Today my man left to London, I worked and went to the park. It's a big and simple one, not too far from our flat: there is a direct bus (or I can walk, but I have been lazy). Nantes is a lovely city to live in. The centre is full of interesting things but not too big, so we're anywhere within minutes.

Thank you for your comments, I hope you have a nice evening.

more light

The days go by so fast it's already dark when I realise I need to see some light. Our street looks like Las Vegas at the moment with all the Christmas lighting, but it's not exactly the light I want. Oh well, from 21st the days will start drawing out again!

I am still working in the flat but also on my website, to make things clearer.

I have updated the shop today, with photos now available! I have listed 10 pictures but if you like one on this blog or flickr that is not listed, get in touch with me as I can make a custom order. And also, if you want to get your package before Christmas, make sure to place your order before 20th December for France, before 17th December for EU and before 11th December (tomorrow!) for the rest of the world.

I have just got Riot on an empty street by Kings of Convenience and love it. Listen to this (I just want to dance too!).

Have a lovely evening now!

with a little help from my friends

Here are a few things that have found their place in our flat. Our mustache was made by Suddenly, It's Real! (shop here).

Lots of work to do this coming week, and a workshop over the week-end. Hopefully I will have time to do everything that is on my list! I hope you have a lovely day.
