



















When I woke up this morning I felt like wandering among the flowers. I am staying at my parents' house in the West of France and am happy to introduce you to my mum's wonderful garden. She is an excellent gardener and loves flowers (hence my name).
My old cat (she is 17!) kindly offered to come with me. The leaves were covered with dew and that made her happy. We found the first wild strawberries and 2 very small mushrooms. All this environment and me kneeling all the time to be at the flowers' height reminded me of Walt Disney's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - when she is surrounded with talking flowers who start singing All in the Golden Afternoon (which in French is translated with Un Matin de Mai Fleuri -a blossoming May morning, very appropriate).
This morning in the garden we were Alice and Dinah.
P.S.: Have you ever read the books? They are truly amazing and have been a source of inspiration for many years. I highly recommend Alice's Adventures under Ground which is the first text Lewis Carroll wrote - I have a beautiful edition with his own handwriting and drawings:

I think the cat will live a long life in this place where she is treated like a duchess!
